Jeffery Miller
Jeffery Miller, LCPC, CADC graduated from Concordia University in 2002 with a Master of Arts in Counseling. He is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Jeffery's range of experience includes adult psychiatric inpatient treatment, residential treatment with adolescents, outpatient substance abuse treatment, school-based behavioral and crisis intervention, delinquency prevention and treatment of at-risk youth, and outpatient individual, family, and couples counseling. Jeffery has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the College of Lake County where he has taught seminars on eating disorders, pornography and addiction, crisis intervention, and brief therapy. Jeffery currently provides services to both adolescents (beginning at age 13) and adults throughout the lifespan. He also places a considerable level of importance upon creating a warm, nurturing, sometimes light-hearted therapeutic environment, while assisting clients with evaluating and overcoming constraints to change in their lives. Services that Jeffery provides include, but are not limited to:
- Individual, couples, and family therapy
- Oppositional and defiant behavior in adolescents
- Anxiety, depression, and Bipolar Disorders
- Chemical dependency and alcohol abuse
- Pornography addiction
- Codependency
- Grief and loss
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Jeffery uses a combination of clinical approaches to best address the individual, unique needs of every client. Clinical approaches include, but are not limited to:
- Cognitive-Behavioral- Examining how our thought processes impact feelings and behaviors
- Solution-Focused- Working to identify constraints and barriers to effective change
- Family Systems- Examining how individual family members' interrelationship not only contributes to conflict, but also how it can create change
- Brief Therapy- Focusing on specific treatment issues with direct, measurable interventions
